Role Overview We are looking for a Communications Assistant to support the Improvement Programme by coordinating and delivering day-to-day communications activities. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. The role will involve supporting programme communications, preparing materials, coordinating updates, and helping ensure key messages are communicated effectively across the station.
Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of communications for the Improvement Programme. Prepare and distribute weekly programme communications. Coordinate and maintain updates. Assist with the organisation and facilitation of station-wide briefings. Produce communication materials for leadership away days and meetings. Create and maintain programme-branded materials, including team charters, presentations, and briefing documents. Liaise with programme teams to gather information and prepare communications content.
Maintain communication schedules, documents, and records. Provide general administrative support to the programme team as required. Essential Requirements Previous administrative experience. Communications Tools experience and Canva Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Confident working with a range of stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience supporting communications, engagement, or programme activities. Experience preparing presentations, newsletters, or briefing materials. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong communication skills to support a key improvement programme on a six-month contract basis.
