Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team in the assigned team and cover across the Trust's administrative resource.
- File all paperwork appropriately.
- Provide cover across the POD as and when required.
- Ensure all procedures are followed for data capture for service-specific outcomes.
- Provide an excellent standard of service to patients at all times.
- Adhere to trust-wide standard operating procedures and policies developed for clinical administrative processes and participate in their development.
- Photocopying and filling.
- Answering phones.
- Greeting relatives as they enter the ward.
- Booking follow-up appointments.
- Booking transport.
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Previous administrative experience.
- Experience of working within a customer-driven service.
- Experience of Patient Administration System.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- PC skills.
- Ability to work under supervision as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills to plan and prioritise workload.
- Willing to learn new systems.
