Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised ALS Administrator to join our Additional Learning Support team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their full potential. Working closely with the Head of Department and ALS Curriculum Managers, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective administration of ALS services across the College.

This is a busy and varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and can manage competing priorities while delivering an excellent service.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate student records.
  • Coordinate key administrative processes.
  • Support funding and compliance requirements.
  • Act as a central point of contact for students, staff, parents and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department and ALS Curriculum Managers to ensure smooth administration of ALS services across the College.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working in an administrative role within a busy environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience using databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proactive, solution‑focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Genuine commitment to supporting students and delivering an outstanding service.
  • Experience with in an Additional Learning Support, SEND, education or student services environment is advantageous, as is experience using eSpirALS or similar learner support databases.
