Location: City of Westminster

Eligibility
:
This vacancy is only available to existing Civil Servant employees and employees of accredited non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs). Please review the "Eligibility" section before you apply.

Opening:
AO – the role is permanent, full time, cross government, based in London (102 Petty France). Working pattern is hybrid; you will need to attend 102 Petty France two days per week. Reserve list: 12 months.

Correspondence Logger/Drafter – Policy Correspondence Team

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately scan, log and store incoming correspondence using the department’s case management system.
  • Draft clear, empathetic, respectful replies to MPs, external organisations and members of the public, using policy-cleared lines.
  • Manage your own caseload, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of written and oral communication.
  • Collaborate with team members and senior officials to improve processes and achieve targets.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to corporate initiatives and undertake additional duties as appropriate.
Skills and Experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills across multiple channels.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities, with proven experience meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise proactively and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • High standard of written English, including grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
