Overview

South Thames College is looking for an Admissions Officer to provide an information and enrolment service to prospective and existing students and staff. The role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of courses, fee payments and eligibility, and responding to enquiries via in-person, telephone or e‑mail.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and complete up‑to‑date enrolment‑related documents, including fee assessment documents, application forms and financial forms such as daily cash ups.
  • Assess payment options for learners and carry out administrative duties such as post duties and reception duties.
  • Support admissions events as required and provide high‑quality customer care to students, visitors and staff.
  • Respond to queries accurately and appropriately, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to strict deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a customer‑focused environment delivering courteous, informative and responsive service.
  • Strong administrative skills and ability to support a team effectively.
  • Good computer literacy with accurate keyboarding and data‑entry skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact confidently and professionally with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
