Join the NHS Alliances Mental Health Network and help support the leaders shaping the future of NHS-funded mental health and learning disability services across England. Shaped by members, the Network helps leaders to exchange ideas, share experiences and challenges, and provide peer support. Working at the heart of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in engaging members, coordinating events and forums, supporting policy projects, and ensuring the smooth delivery of our core activities.

This role is integral to the successful delivery of the Mental Health Network forums, programmes and influencing activities. It requires a proactive, organised approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive working relationships, while supporting cross organisation programmes of work.

Responsibilities Engagement support
  • Support engagement with members and stakeholders across the Mental Health Network, including coordinating meetings, visits and communications.
  • Help deliver member forums, events and conferences, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants.
  • Coordinate visits programme when a visit involves multiple directors, networks or teams.
  • Maintain our CRM, complete the engagement tracker, and support the coordination of visits.
  • Contribute to cross-network activity, including developing briefings, articles, case studies and member round tables as required.
Project and event support
  • Support the delivery of network projects, providing holistic, joined‑up services for our members.
  • Assist other members of the network in coordinating larger events and meetings, including member conferences, sourcing and booking venues, and liaising with events staff on logistics.
  • Support the delivery of key member forums, collating, sharing and signposting relevant information.
  • Collate data and background research to support the delivery of policy projects and published outputs.
  • Attend external events to provide logistical and administrative support as required.
  • Provide flexible capacity to respond to evolving business priorities.
Administrative support
  • Support the delivery of key logistical requirements, such as organising travel and accommodation for leaders.
  • Help fulfil processes for effective working across NHS Alliance, including organising key cross‑organisational meetings, drafting minutes and ensuring actions are fulfilled, and working with internal stakeholders to progress key activity.
  • Process financial requests such as purchase orders.
  • Manage the Mental Health Network email account, logging enquiries and ensuring all are dealt with promptly and professionally.
  • Arrange internal and external meetings, catering, preparing and circulating papers before and after the meeting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrable administrative experience such as coordinating meetings, planning travel, diary coordination and cross‑organisational administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including letter writing, drafting emails to stakeholders, and writing briefings for events or important meetings.
  • Experience delivering or supporting engagement activity such as regular stakeholder meetings.
  • Ability to manage a fast‑paced workload with multiple competing priorities, responding to emerging priorities or ad‑hoc requests.
  • Ability to identify and collate information from a variety of sources to support project delivery.
  • A demonstrable interest in working within the health and care sector.
  • Experience organising meetings with senior leaders, and high‑profile events and conferences.
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365, and/or mass marketing or communications tools such as Dot Digital or Mailchimp.
