Job Title: Receptionist

Our client is seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to serve as the primary point of contact within their campus environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional customer service to students and visitors alike. The successful candidate will report directly to the Campus Service Team Leader and will work collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver world-class service to all students and visitors, ensuring interactions are marked by professionalism, courtesy, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Assist and receive visitors, providing exceptional service in person, via telephone, and through email communications.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the organisation's structure, campus geography, and events to effectively support and guide customers in accessing the right information.
- Operate the campus switchboard telephony services, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Maintain reception guides, manuals, and local information, as well as coordinate and organise information resources for reception duties.
- Issue temporary access passes to visitors, staff, and students according to established guidelines, and manage the mail room services.
- Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, catering, cleaning, administration, and academic staff to maintain a seamless reception function.
- Monitor campus services and respond promptly to generic reception email accounts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and contribute to the organisation's equality and diversity initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Essential:
Proficient level of secondary education or above, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Knowledge and
Experience:
- Essential:
Proven experience in customer service, effectively managing face-to-face, written, and telephone interactions. - Desirable:
Knowledge of or interest in the Higher Education sector, along with awareness of health and safety issues related to receptionist duties.
Skills and Abilities:
Essential:
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with visitors.
- Good telephone manner and basic computer literacy, including proficiency in standard software such as MS Office.
- Excellent organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanour.
- Capacity to follow instructions, work flexibly within a team, and use initiative.
