The Commodities Desk Assistant provides high-quality, proactive administrative and operational support to the Commodities business, with a particular focus on the Metals and Energy desks. The role is central to the smooth running of a fast-paced front-office environment, supporting senior stakeholders with scheduling, travel, meetings, expenses, onboarding coordination and day-to-day team administration.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a highly organised, motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a dynamic team environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable and confident managing competing priorities, while also bringing a curiosity for new technology and better ways of working.

Experience using Microsoft Copilot and other digital productivity tools will be an important differentiator in helping the team work more efficiently and effectively.

This is an office-based role in London, requiring in-person presence five days a week to support close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Provide proactive administrative and operational support to the Commodities team.
  • Manage diaries, appointments and meeting logistics for stakeholders as required.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops, training sessions, conference calls and team events.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation and transport, and prepare detailed itineraries where needed.
  • Support purchase order requests, invoice processing and procurement-related administration.
  • Liaise professionally with internal teams and external contacts on behalf of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate visitor hosting and support office-based team activity.
  • Assist with onboarding arrangements for new joiners, including access, equipment and practical setup.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-enabled productivity tools
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support the adoption of new tools and more efficient ways of working.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
