Executive Assistant - Corporate Affairs

£45,000 | City of London | 2 Days in Office | 9am-5pm

We're recruiting an Executive Assistant to join a leading financial services membership organisation in the City, supporting the Managing Director and wider Director team within Corporate Affairs.

This is a varied EA role offering much more than diary management. You'll be closely involved in the day-to-day running of the team, with exposure to senior stakeholders, high-level meetings, governance and committees, projects and wider Corporate Affairs activity.

It would suit an EA who enjoys being trusted to take ownership, anticipate what's needed and keep a busy senior team organised and one step ahead.

The Role
  • Managing senior diaries, proactively resolving clashes and changing priorities.
  • Coordinating high-level meetings, ensuring papers, attendees, rooms and logistics are organised.
  • Preparing and distributing agendas, papers and supporting documentation.
  • Supporting governance and committee activity, including schedules, membership records and meeting preparation.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for senior colleagues, members and external stakeholders.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation when required.
  • Managing expenses, purchase orders, invoices and departmental spend.
  • Supporting projects, internal communications, recruitment activity and corporate events.
  • Taking minutes and actions for ad hoc work streams and ensuring follow-up.
  • Identifying more efficient ways of working and helping the wider team run smoothly.
About You
  • Previous EA experience supporting senior executives;
    Board-level exposure would be advantageous.
  • Strong diary and meeting management skills with the confidence to manage up.
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to anticipate priorities rather than wait for direction.
  • Comfortable preparing papers and agendas for senior meetings, Boards or governance committees.
  • Confident and personable when dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and systems skills.
  • Collaborative, approachable and equally comfortable working independentl and taking ownership.
What's on Offer

£45,000 salary, excellent benefits, 9am-5pm working hours and a genuine hybrid pattern of just two days per week in the City office.

A strong opportunity for an EA looking for senior-level exposure and interesting, substantive work while retaining a genuinely good work life.
