GP Telephonist

Full-time telephonist post with Gray's Inn Medical Practice, a multi-site GP surgery founded in 1879, based at its Central London branch. The role centres on being the first point of contact on the phones, taking and passing on messages accurately, and helping receptionists with appointment booking and patient contact. Shifts run on two rotas, 07:30 to 16:00 and 10:00 to 18:30, and the surgery works from a Georgian house.

Candidates need a clear telephone manner and an excellent command of English; prior GP practice experience is desirable.

• Answer incoming calls as the first point of contact
• Take and relay messages accurately and efficiently
• Ensure calls are transferred smoothly and patient needs are met
• Support receptionists with administrative tasks

• GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths
