Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking dealership, is seeking a skilled Workshop Controller to lead their busy service department. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to work within a supportive and progressive environment that values staff development and excellence in customer service.
Benefits- Competitive basic salary between £36,000 and £38,000 depending on experience, with potential to earn more through bonuses and overtime
- Monday to Friday working hours from 8am to 6pm, with Saturdays on a rota basis

- Overseeing day‑to‑day workshop operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and high standards of service
- Managing and motivating technicians to achieve targets and maintain customer satisfaction
- Tracking vehicle progress within the workshop and liaising with Service Reception to keep customers informed on repair status
- Ensuring operational procedures comply with dealership standards and maximise workshop profitability
- Supporting team development through coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews
- Upholding high levels of customer service and communication throughout the service process
- Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or in a supervisory role within the automotive service environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate personnel
- Technical background or experience in service advisory is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills and a customer‑focused approach
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role
- Proactive attitude and dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and service
