BSC clears all new potential business mandates to confirm potential conflicts of interest are anticipated, identified, and managed. BSC also drives decision making on business selection issues to ensure the firm is committing to the most attractive opportunities.

BSC is a global group based in New York, London and Hong Kong that interacts daily with investment bankers as well as with various functions within Investment Banking (legal, compliance, finance, business operations). Responsibilities

The position is designed to provide a broad range of responsibilities and exposure, with tasks ranging from monitoring and reporting news on M&A deals to assisting senior members of the group with analyzing sensitive and high-profile transactions. While the person in this position will experience all aspects of the business selections and conflicts clearance process, the role’s principal responsibilities include:

  • conducting initial conflicts checks and collecting relevant details for new potential business opportunities;
  • monitoring business mandates and identifying issues that arise following initial conflicts clearance;
  • managing the deal teams’ inquiries and expectations regarding conflicts clearance outcomes and timing; and
  • documenting and tracking all conflicts checks, status updates, key information, and deal documentation in BSC’s database
