Location: City of Westminster

Freight Forwarding - New Business Development Manager

Permanent Position - £54,000 starting salary + Car Allowance + Bonus - Rising after 6 months to £60,000

Hybrid working - 3 Days in London Victoria Office

Working for a results-driven freight forwarding specialist delivering seamless global logistics across air, ocean, and road. Built on reliability, speed, and strong carrier partnerships, the business combines commercial agility with operational precision.

The Role
  • Identify and secure new freight forwarding business across air, ocean, and road freight
  • Develop and execute a structured sales strategy to achieve revenue targets
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with shippers, importers/exporters, and key decision‑makers
  • Prepare competitive quotations and tailored logistics solutions
  • Negotiate contracts and close profitable deals
  • Work closely with operations to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
What we are looking for
  • Proven track record in business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, customs procedures, and supply chain solutions
  • Established industry network preferred
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Self‑motivated with a hunter mentality
  • Ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
