As an Associate in the Global Philanthropy team you will support the work focused on the Careers and Skills and Small Business pillars to contribute to the management, development and implementation of the firm's philanthropic programs in selected countries in Latin America, Middle East and Africa.
- Design, plan, execute and monitor grants that are aligned to Corporate Responsibility's broader inclusive economic development agenda:
1. Source and structure partnerships with leading organizations to address needs in the communities we serve
2. Determine success measures for these programs
3. Conduct effective due diligence and risk analysis to ensure that the firm's resources and reputation are protected
4. Manage live grants to ensure that the work funded is delivered, monitored and that impact is measured, and risks are managed. - Research and identify opportunities that align with the firm's Corporate Responsibility strategy, with a particular focus on selected markets in Latin America, Middle East and Africa, to support the development of the local grant‑making strategy.
- Support the development of materials for internal and external use that tell a compelling story of the outcomes of our philanthropic initiatives and elevate key collaboration with the broader firm.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop the philanthropic programming for EMEA & LATAM and contribute to Corporate Responsibility's broader inclusive economic development agenda.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and oral communications skills)
- Relevant grant‑making and/or experience working with non‑profit, social impact organisations and/or experience in corporate responsibility / philanthropy / social impact departments of global corporations
- Experience and/or knowledge of economic inclusion topics, in particular employment & skills and/or entrepreneurship programmes particularly in Emerging Markets Context.
- Excellent and efficient MS Office user, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.
- Experience in managing programmes from end‑to‑end
- Self‑motivated, resilient and ability to work both in a team as well as in an independent context
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Capable of working under pressure and against tight deadlines
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and on complex issues
- Good balance of analytical, commercial and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in other languages (particularly Portuguese) would be considered a strong asset.
