We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our growing commercial team at CN Foods. This is a hands on commercially focused role for someone who enjoys building ranges, launching new brands and taking real ownership of supplier performance.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of food and drink suppliers, delivering successful new brand launches and driving strong commercial returns. The role carries clear KPIs and performance related pay, with autonomy and visibility across the business.

CN Foods is a fast growing premium food and drink distributor supplying independent retailers, convenience stores and specialist food businesses across London and the UK. We focus on ambient and chilled food and drink, working with premium grocery, functional and health led brands, world foods, quality snacks, soft drinks, wine and speciality products. We partner with over 400 suppliers and manage thousands of SKUs across multiple categories.

• Launching a minimum of 2 new brands per month and owning the process end to end
• Managing supplier relationships, negotiations and ongoing performance
• Building and maintaining commercially strong ranges with the right margins and pricing
• Leading post launch reviews and regular supplier performance meetings
• Driving promotional activity, marketing support and sales incentives
• Generating measurable commercial income through rebates, rep deals and marketing contributions
• Monitoring sales, stock levels and slow moving lines to reduce risk
• Working closely with sales, supply chain and operations teams

• At least 3 years buying experience in FMCG
• Strong knowledge and genuine interest in food and drink
• Confident negotiator with a commercial mindset
• Comfortable working to clear KPIs and financial targets
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Good Excel skills and experience using buying or ERP systems
