Sugarman Children’s Services have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Referrals Consultant to join our professional and dedicated placement team. Referrals Consultants are the main point of contact for local authorities and schools making referrals for alternative education provision for vulnerable children and young people. You will manage all information in relation to the referral process.
Responsibilities- Coordinating all aspects of referrals for the group regarding enquiries, referral coordination and placements
- Promoting and nurturing positive relationships between internal and external stakeholders
- Working with the Head of Children’s Services to manage all data arising from the admissions and referrals process: recording and tracking data, analysing data, identifying and reporting on trends, strategic opportunities, and risks
- Reviewing details supplied by the referrer and local authorities regarding the level of educational provision required
- Collating information regarding the young people’s backgrounds and referral needs and following process
- Processing large amounts of information accurately and efficiently
- Reporting regularly on the progress of referrals and placements
- Recording accurate data in the Children’s Services data management software system to monitor and track referrals as well as relationships across local authority accounts
