Overview

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London. Working with our Head of Procurement and Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for the day to day administration of the department, assisting in the preparation of the tender and quotation process, supporting the monitoring of compliance by assisting with audits and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the tender and quotation process.
  • Support the monitoring of compliance and assist with audits.
  • Maintain accurate records for procurement activities.
  • Support stakeholders in putting together tender documents.
  • Organise meetings, training sessions and handle tender queries.
  • Ensure external communications regarding procurement are up to date, such as the Newlon website.
  • Produce accurate reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prepare tender packs by collating specifications, technical and commercial questionnaires.
  • Support evaluation criteria and scoring documentation.
Qualifications
  • Previously worked in a similar procurement role.
  • Good understanding of procurement practices and awareness of the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in preparing tender packs, including collating specifications, technical and commercial questionnaires and supporting evaluation criteria.
  • Confident communicator, able to present ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Works independently as well as part of a team and effectively solves routine problems.
