Product Manager – Schools & Higher Education (English Language Learning & Assessment)

London - Onsite 2/3 days a week

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of innovative English language learning and assessment products for the Schools and Higher Education market.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded product professional with experience in EdTech, education publishing, ELT, learning products, or assessment solutions. You will play a key role in defining product strategy, delivering customer‑focused solutions, and driving innovation across both digital and print product portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute product strategies for learning and assessment products within the Schools and Higher Education portfolio.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps aligned with customer needs, business objectives, and market trends.
  • Ensure products meet curriculum requirements, educational standards, and pedagogical best practice.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and development through launch, optimisation, and retirement.
  • Define product requirements and collaborate with technology, UX, content, and learning design teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
  • Oversee the delivery of both digital and print products, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders, educators, institutions, and external partners.
  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and commercial metrics to drive continuous improvement and ROI.
  • Champion innovation by leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, personalization, analytics, and digital learning tools.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager within EdTech, education publishing, ELT, assessment, or learning products.
  • Strong product management experience, including product strategy, roadmaps, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience delivering and managing both digital and print products.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using customer insights and data to drive decision‑making.
  • Track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience working within Agile or hybrid product development environments.
  • Experience in English Language Teaching (ELT) or assessment product development.
  • Experience with LMS/VLE platforms, digital assessment tools, or adaptive learning technologies.
  • Understanding of AI and emerging technologies in education.
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking and value‑proposition frameworks.
  • Experience working across international education markets.
  • CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent understanding of language learning pedagogy.
