About thebusinessunit

The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott Mac Donald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors;
Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.

Overview of the role

The Healthcare Consulting Services Portfolio of the Health Division provides strategic and operational consultancy advice and support to healthcare clients to improve services outcomes for patients and staff. A keypart of this advice centres on having robust data analysis and modelling outputs to provide evidence-based solutions for clients.

We provide support to Department of Health & Social Care, NHS England, New Hospital Programme, NHS clients and work internationally on projects in the Middle East, Canada and Australia.

Support the successful delivery of healthcare infrastructure, estates, digital and transformation projects by providing strategic, analytical and programme management expertise. Contribute to the development of innovative, data-driven and digitally enabled solutions that improve healthcare outcomes, operational efficiency and patient experience across healthcare organisations.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Deliver healthcare consultancy support across NHS programmes, projects and work streams
  • Supporting clients to assess clinical and estate need, develop strategies and delivery plans anddesign solutions to transform and improve healthcare services, infrastructure and estates
  • Undertake strategic analysis and research activities to support strategic planning, business cases, service transformation, operational improvement and healthcare investment decisions
  • Engage with clinical, operational, estates and executive stakeholders to understand and clearly articulate requirements, facilitate workshops and engagement sessions and develop practical solutions
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative information to develop a baseline for assessment,identify trends, risks, opportunities and produce evidence-based recommendations
  • Develop reports, presentations, business cases (short form, SOC, OBC.FBC) and other client deliverables to a high professional standard
  • Support the planning, management and delivery of programmes and projects, including governance, risk management, action tracking, stakeholder engagement and change control
  • Contribute to the development and authoring of healthcare strategies, operating models,service plans and transformation roadmaps
  • Support organisations in adopting digital, data and technology-enabled solutions that improve patient, staff and operational outcomes
  • Apply data-driven approaches to inform decision-making, performance improvement and service transformation initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development, bid preparation and the growth of the portfolio
  • Experience of working within healthcare environments, ideally supporting NHS or public sector healthcare clients on estates, infrastructure, service transformation or operational improvement programmes
  • Knowledge of primary care estates, including the planning, utilisation, condition, compliance and development of community, primary care and neighbourhood health facilities
