AI and Digital Transformation Advisor

We are currently recruiting an AI and Digital Transformation Advisor to join our Quality, Impact and Innovation Department.

This is a remote, 12-month position open to candidates based in the UK, or any Relief International country of operation within a +/- 4-hour difference from Central European Time (CET). The role has a global remit and works across departments and country programmes to help shape how Relief International adopts and benefits from artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

Relief International is an international non-profit organization that partners with communities impacted by conflict, climate change and disaster to save lives, build greater resilience and promote long-term health and wellbeing. Our team of more than 4,000 staff and local volunteers work across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, delivering Health and Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Education and Livelihoods programming that creates the foundation for community resilience.

The AI and Digital Transformation Advisor will lead the development and implementation of Relief International's AI strategy, helping departments identify practical opportunities where AI and digital tools can create meaningful value. Rather than acting as a technical implementer, you will serve as a strategic advisor, facilitator and change leader, supporting teams to adopt AI responsibly, effectively and sustainably.

You will work closely with senior leaders, department heads, country directors and IT colleagues to develop an organizational roadmap for AI adoption, coordinate a portfolio of AI initiatives, strengthen staff capability and ensure that innovation remains aligned with organizational priorities, governance requirements and humanitarian principles.

This role includes the following responsibilities.

• Lead the development and continuous evolution of Relief International's AI and digital transformation strategy, translating organizational priorities into a practical roadmap of initiatives and opportunities.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities where AI and digital tools can improve efficiency, effectiveness, quality, knowledge management and decision-making across departments and country programmes.
• Coordinate and oversee a portfolio of AI initiatives, ensuring clear objectives, ownership, milestones and measures of success while maintaining responsibility within individual departments.
