A leading Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take on a commercial role within their London team. This position offers the chance to work on high‑profile fit‑out and refurbishment projects while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, proven experience managing their own packages, and a solid understanding of the fit‑out sector. You'll be joining a well‑established contractor with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering complex, high‑quality schemes.

• Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects from procurement through to final account
• Prepare and review cost plans, valuations, variations, and financial reports
• Lead subcontract procurement, negotiation, and management
• Ensure accurate forecasting, cost control, and budget management
• Work closely with project teams to ensure commercial and contractual compliance
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Provide clear commercial guidance to project teams and senior management

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Strong background in fit‑out / Refurb
• Confident operating in a standalone QS role
• Experience working for a main contractor (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred)
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  
  Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider project team
