Quantity Surveyor

Central London

£60,000 - £70,000 plus Car Allowance and Travel

The Opportunity

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of London's most respected and fastest-growing main contractors. Renowned for delivering high-quality commercial, refurbishment, fit-out and mixed-use schemes, this contractor has established an outstanding reputation for excellence, integrity and successful project delivery across the capital. The business has experienced sustained growth and continues to secure prestigious projects across the commercial sector.

Based from their Central London office, you will take a lead commercial role on projects valued up to £20m, working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and senior leadership to ensure the successful financial delivery of schemes from pre-construction through to final account.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects and accelerate their career within a business that actively promotes from within.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial management of projects valued up to £20m.

Prepare, manage and report project budgets and cost plans.

Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.

Negotiate subcontract agreements and final accounts.

Monitor project costs, variations and change control.

Produce accurate CVRs and commercial reports.

Manage valuations, applications for payment and cash flow forecasting.

Work closely with operational teams to maximise project profitability.

Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a Main Contractor environment.

Experience delivering commercial, refurbishment, fit-out or mixed-use projects.

Strong understanding of JCT contracts.

Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage projects independently from procurement through to final account.

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.

Ambitious, driven and keen to progress into a Senior Quantity Surveyor position.
