Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor (High-End Residential, Commercial, Refurbishment & Cut and Carve) – Central London
Salary/Package: £65,000 – £78,000 + Travel + Private Medical + Pension + Discretionary Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team, delivering a portfolio of prestigious high-end projects across Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex and high-specification projects across the residential, commercial, retail, leisure and education sectors. You will play a key role in the commercial delivery of projects, taking responsibility for procuring and commercially managing high-value subcontract packages through to final account, whilst working closely with senior members of the commercial team.

The role offers exposure to a diverse range of refurbishment, cut and carve and new build schemes, with the opportunity to become involved in pre-construction activities and PCSA stage projects. You will be joining an experienced and supportive commercial team with excellent opportunities for long-term progression within a growing and successful business.

Responsibilities:

Procuring and commercially managing high-value subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
Preparing subcontract enquiries, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations for award
Managing subcontractor payments, valuations, variations and final accounts
Assisting with cost reporting, CVRs, forecasting and monthly commercial reporting
Working closely with site management, design and pre-construction teams to ensure successful project delivery
Supporting pre-construction activities and contributing during PCSA stages where required
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities whilst maintaining strong cost control throughout the project lifecycle
Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain
Requirements

Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment
Previous experience delivering high-end residential, commercial, retail, leisure or education projects
Experience working on refurbishment and/or cut and carve schemes
Proven experience procuring and managing high-value subcontract packages
Exposure to pre-construction and PCSA stage projects would be advantageous
Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and communication skills
Able and willing to commute to Central London
