Assistant Estimator - Construction (Decorating & Passive Fire)
Central London
£35,000 - £45,000 + Package
An excellent opportunity for an Assistant Estimator or someone early in their estimating career to join a growing contractor specialising in decorating and passive fire works. Perfect for someone looking to develop under experienced estimators and progress quickly.
The Role- Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tenders
- Reviewing drawings and project specifications
- Gathering supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Supporting senior estimators with live tenders
- Maintaining tender documentation and records
- Learning full estimating lifecycle
- Previous experience in construction (admin, trainee estimator, assistant level)
- Ideally exposure to decorating, interiors, or passive fire
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good IT skills (Excel, etc.)
- Ambition to build a long‑term career in estimating
- £35k-£45k salary (DOE)
- Clear progression into Estimator role
- Hands‑on training and mentorship
- Stable and growing business
