Commercial Manager; Tunnelling

Position: Commercial Manager (Tunnelling)
Conrad Consulting is working with a leading construction consultancy to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in tunnelling and underground construction.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major infrastructure programme, providing commercial assurance and supporting complex underground construction packages.

The Role

You'll be responsible for reviewing Target Outturn Costs, undertaking commercial assurance activities and providing commercial advice across tunnelling works.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Target Outturn Cost (TOC) assurance.

Review contractor commercial submissions and estimates.

Assess commercial risk across tunnelling packages.

Support procurement and contractor engagement.

Challenge cost assumptions and identify commercial risks.

Produce detailed commercial assessments.

Work closely with engineering and project delivery teams.

About You

You'll possess:

Experience working on tunnelling or underground construction projects.

Strong understanding of TBM operations, shaft construction and underground structures.

Background in commercial management, quantity surveying or estimating.

Experience undertaking TOC assurance or commercial reviews.

Ideally 12+ years' relevant industry experience.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
