Construction Planner
Location: City of London, London

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + benefits
OverviewOur client is a leading residential developer delivering high-quality new build developments across London and the South East.
The RoleThe Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed construction programmes from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with project managers, commercial teams, technical staff, subcontractors, and site teams, you will ensure programmes remain accurate, achievable, and aligned with project milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Programme Development – Develop programmes from first principles, define critical path activities, milestones, and sequencing, and ensure they meet contractual requirements.
- Progress Monitoring – Update live project programmes through regular site visits, monitor progress against the programme, integrate subcontractor programmes into the master programme, and produce weekly progress reports and planning updates.
- Coordination & Communication – Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and site management; review subcontractor programmes for accuracy and compliance; attend planning meetings, progress reviews, and client meetings; present programme updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Risk Management – Identify programme risks and delays, develop mitigation and recovery plans, monitor critical path activities, and support project teams with programme-related decisions.
- Experience on new-build residential developments (essential).
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and project life cycles.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High-end residential experience and site-based planning experience.
- Experience working for a developer or main contractor.
