Electrical Construction Manager
East London. Up to £500 a day!
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to work on a Hyperscale Data Centre in London with a leading Main Contractor. This person will oversee electrical installation activity across high‑voltage distribution, ICT infrastructure, fibre optics, and cabling.
Responsibilities- Manage and supervise electrical construction activities across data‑centre sites.
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors, subcontractors and vendors to keep project milestones on track.
- Oversee day‑to‑day electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards and relevant regulations.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, permits, risks, resource allocation and site logistics.
- Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks and construction progress reviews.
- Support procurement and logistics planning for construction materials and equipment.
- Resolve construction‑related issues, escalating where required.
- Maintain accurate construction documentation, reports and updates for senior management.
- Experience as an Electrical Construction Manager, Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Project Manager or similar electrical construction management role.
- Minimum of 7 years’ construction management experience, preferably within data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
- Experience developing and implementing construction plans for electrical systems, including high‑voltage distribution, ICT infrastructure, fibre optics and cabling.
- Strong understanding of high‑voltage electrical systems, ICT architecture, fibre‑optic networks and electrical compliance standards.
- Experience managing subcontractors, permits, risk mitigation, resource allocation and site logistics.
- Knowledge of commissioning and testing of electrical systems.
- Strong leadership, communication and project management skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification such as PMP, RICS or CIOB.
