A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Quantity Surveyor to join a long-established and growing contractor delivering complex, high-quality construction packages in London. This role offers the chance to take meaningful commercial responsibility on a diverse portfolio of projects—from reinforced concrete frames and deep basement works to high-spec residential refurbishments and commercial fit-outs. You'll be part of a commercially solid, technically sharp, and professionally run business that genuinely values its people.
Key Responsibilities- Project Cost Control:
Managing costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts across structural and architectural packages. - Procurement:
Running procurement processes from tender to order placement, managing subcontractor relationships and performance. - Commercial Reporting:
Producing monthly CVRs, cost forecasts, and supporting senior management in financial reporting. - Stakeholder Management:
Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and commercial clarity. - Contract Administration:
Managing contracts (primarily JCT), ensuring risks are identified and opportunities maximised. - Team Support:
Working closely with delivery teams to keep projects financially on track without compromising on time or quality.

Requirements- A degree (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- 3–7 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within main contracting or specialist packages (e.g. RC frame, fit‑out, refurb)
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and general construction practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
- A proactive mindset and confidence to manage your own workload
- A salary of £55k-£70k depending on experience
