Location: City Of London

Our client is a well-established drylining contractor with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Specialising in the Commercial Sector, they consistently deliver high-quality projects valued between £150,000 and £15,000,000. With a strong reputation for excellence, they are looking to expand their team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their growing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the cost aspects of a range of projects
  • Prepare and review detailed cost plans, bills of quantities, and contract documentation
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate cost assessments and manage project budgets
  • Provide cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and manage contract performance and ensure projects are completed within budget
  • Assist with value engineering, cost forecasting and risk management
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure timely submission of applications for payments and valuations
  • Advise on contractual disputes and assist with final accounts
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the drylining or construction industry
  • Strong understanding of drylining systems, materials and construction processes
  • Experience working with contract documents, cost plans and project specifications
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience managing projects ranging from £150,000 to £15,000,000
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
