Site Manager, Construction Manager/ Foreman
O'Neill & Brennan are partnering with a well-established contractor who are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Manager on a permanent basis to join their London Data Centre team.
Purpose of the RoleTo oversee site operations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure client expectations are met by delivering a high-quality end product while maintaining professional relationships with design teams and client representatives.
- Uphold the highest standards in health and safety, quality and client service ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and snag-free.
- Accurately report progress and site activities in a timely manner to senior management.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure all work meets required standards with minimal rework.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute project works in accordance with contract documents and construction programmes.
- Foster strong working relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors, and the wider supply chain.
- Schedule and resource work effectively in line with the overall project programme.
- Collaborate closely with the project Quantity Surveyor to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry and project execution processes.
- Proven experience in internal fit-out and data centre projects.
- Proficient in MS Office and project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project or similar).
- Strong ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and a track record of delivering high-quality projects on time.
- Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated, with sound judgement and composure under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance.
