An established and growing main contractor is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join its Pre-Construction team based in West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their estimating career within a business that delivers a diverse range of refurbishment, maintenance and new build projects valued between £50,000 and £10 million.
Working alongside experienced Estimators, you'll gain exposure to the full tender process while receiving ongoing support and development.
Responsibilities

* Assist with preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions.

* Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

* Measure quantities and prepare take-offs.

* Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

* Assist in producing pricing schedules and tender documents.

* Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.

* Support the estimating team to meet tender deadlines.

* Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.
Requirements

* Previous estimating or construction experience.

* Experience working for a contractor is advantageous.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Good Microsoft Office skills.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
