The Client: A London based firm of RICS-regulated Chartered Construction Consultants and Chartered Building Engineers. Formed by the merger of two consultancies in 2014, the company handles both commercial and high-end residential schemes, ranging from complex historic refurbishments such as Chelsea townhouses to structural extensions and retail/commercial developments!

The Role:

They are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and take the lead on Commercial, Hospitality, Leisure, Retail and Super Prime Residential projects.

They are looking for an experienced individual to lead in the expansion of the team, and in the delivery of multiple projects from pre-contract through to final account. This is a client-facing role with responsibility for project leadership, technical output, and supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project delivery from inception through completion, ensuring quality and commercial control
  • Produce detailed cost plans, tender documents, and procurement advice
  • Oversee and review contractors' tender returns and cost submissions
  • Carry out contract administration, interim valuations, and final accounts
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and design teams
  • Manage and mentor junior surveyors, reviewing their work and supporting their development

Requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
  • 4+ years PQS / Cost Consultancy experience (MRICS preferred)
  • Relevant commercial and residential sector experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Excellent working knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Strong technical skills in cost planning, tendering, and post-contract management
  • Ability to manage workload, support others, and deliver to deadlines without compromising standards
  • Desire to contribute to a growing, ambitious business
