Fitout - Commercial Lead

Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor - Fit-Out & Refurbishment Central London | £80,000 - £125,000 + Package

Our client, an established main contractor operating across the fit-out and refurbishment sector, is seeking a Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Central London.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced QS to take ownership of the commercial function across a portfolio of smaller, fast-moving fit-out and refurbishment projects — rather than a single large scheme.

• Lead commercial management across multiple concurrent fit-out/refurb projects
• Full pre- and post-contract QS duties: cost planning, procurement, valuations, subcontractor accounts, final accounts
• Manage and mentor junior/assistant surveyors within the team
• Report directly to Commercial Director / senior leadership
• Liaise closely with clients, PMs, and site teams to protect margin and programme
• Oversee project profitability and cash flow across the project mix

• Proven track record running your own projects as lead QS, ideally managing multiple simultaneously
• Experience delivered under JCT Design & Build contracts essential
• Background within fit-out or refurbishment specifically
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience); MRICS desirable but not essential
• Confident leading and developing junior team members

• £80,000 - £125,000 (DOE) + benefits package
