Major European Data Centre Portfolio Our client is a major data centre developer with an established portfolio of large-scale projects across Europe. They are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their London head office team, with responsibility for supporting commissioning activities across their European data centre portfolio. The role will involve working closely with project, design, construction and commissioning teams from project development through to completion and handover.

Although London-based, the position will require regular travel to the client's various European projects. Travel will be ad-hoc and project-driven rather than a fixed rotation , with all associated travel and accommodation expenses covered. Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee commissioning activities across multiple European data centre projects. Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans and procedures from design through to operational handover. Coordinate commissioning activities with project management, design, construction, engineering and operations teams. Review commissioning requirements during design and construction to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with operational and performance requirements. Manage and coordinate commissioning agents, specialist contractors and project stakeholders.

Oversee the commissioning, testing and verification of MEP systems and associated infrastructure. Monitor commissioning programmes, progress and key project milestones. Review commissioning documentation, test results, systems completion and handover documentation. Identify and manage commissioning issues, defects and outstanding works through to resolution. Ensure commissioning activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project specifications, standards and client requirements. Support the development of lessons learned and continuous improvement across the wider data centre portfolio.

Travel to European projects as required to monitor and support commissioning activities. Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior commissioning role within the data centre sector. Strong understanding of MEP systems and the commissioning of complex mission-critical facilities. Experience managing commissioning activities from design through to final handover. Previous experience working for a data centre developer, owner, consultancy or major contractor would be advantageous. Strong understanding of commissioning processes, testing, verification and handover requirements.

Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder management skills. Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Europe on an ad-hoc basis. Relevant engineering, construction or commissioning qualification desirable. Package: £90,000 - £95,000 salary / company car or car allowance / healthcare / bonus scheme up to 25% of salary / full travel and accommodation expenses / pension / life assurance
