A leading main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for significant civils and enabling works packages on a major £100m infrastructure project in North London
.

The role will involve overseeing complex packages including groundworks, enabling works, utilities and associated civil engineering works
, working closely with the wider project team, subcontractors and client.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of major projects and genuine long-term opportunities beyond the initial scheme.

• Overall management and delivery of allocated civils and enabling works packages.
• Management of groundworks, utilities and associated infrastructure works.
• Coordination and management of subcontractors and site teams.
• Programme management, planning and sequencing of works.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Working closely with commercial, design and engineering teams.
• Managing client and key stakeholder relationships.
• Identifying and resolving programme, technical and delivery issues.

• Significant experience delivering major civils, groundworks and enabling works packages
  .
• Strong main contractor or civil engineering contractor background.
• Experience managing complex utilities and infrastructure works.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong understanding of programme, sequencing, health & safety and quality.
• Experience on major infrastructure or technically challenging construction projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Due to the urgency of the requirement, the client is also open to experienced freelance/contract Project Managers
, particularly those who can demonstrate long-term assignments and a consistent employment history.

For permanent candidates, the position is paying approximately £85,000-£120,000 plus a highly competitive package
, dependent on experience.

Alternatively, experienced freelance candidates will be considered at approximately £400-£550 per day
.
