Nadson Consulting are working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor to appoint an experienced Site Manager for a prestigious £80m healthcare development in Central London.
This is a highly technical, high-specification project incorporating state-of-the-art clinical environments, extensive MEP services, specialist medical equipment and premium internal finishes.
The project is moving into a significant delivery phase and the successful Site Manager will join an established project leadership team, taking responsibility for major elements of the internal construction and fit-out through to completion.
The Role
Reporting into the senior project leadership team, responsibilities will include:
* Taking ownership of significant internal and fit-out packages
* Managing supervisors, subcontractors and specialist trades
* Driving short-term programme and ensuring key project milestones are achieved
* Coordinating complex interfaces between architectural, MEP and specialist healthcare installations
* Maintaining exceptionally high standards of quality and finish
* Managing subcontractor performance and resolving delivery issues
* Working closely with design, commercial, planning and MEP teams
* Managing QA, inspections, snagging and handover
* Maintaining the highest Health & Safety standards throughout delivery
* Providing regular progress reporting to senior project management
About You
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with:
* Strong Tier 1 / Tier 2 Main Contractor experience
* Proven delivery experience on major construction projects
* Extensive high-spec internal / fit-out experience
* Experience managing multiple subcontract packages and Site Managers
* Strong programme and sequencing knowledge
* Excellent understanding of quality management and finishing
* Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
Healthcare experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
Candidates from major commercial, life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare or similarly high-spec technically complex projects will also be considered.
The key requirement is a proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality internal packages within a main contractor environment.
The Contractor
The contractor is a long-established, Tier 1 business with an excellent reputation for delivering complex, high-profile projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
Their London operation has a significant secured pipeline across healthcare, commercial, life sciences and other technically demanding sectors, making this a genuine long-term career opportunity rather than simply an appointment for one project.
The business is particularly well regarded for its:
* Strong internal culture and staff retention
* High standards of project delivery
* Experienced senior leadership
* Promotion and development from within
* Long-term secured project pipeline
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a highly regarded Tier 1 contractor on one of London's most prestigious and technically challenging construction projects.
