Reporter – Infrastructure​/Facilities

We are excited to partner with a leading organization to find a driven and insightful Reporter for their publication focused on institutional capital deployment into global infrastructure assets. Based in London, this role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of breaking news and in-depth analysis within a dynamic sector.

As a Reporter, you will work closely with the Editor to deliver high-quality, daily content for a fast-paced news website. Your role will involve not only writing regular news pieces but also interfacing with the market to build and maintain relationships with senior industry figures. You will be integral to ensuring the publication’s editorial and data offerings are both fresh and comprehensive.

Additionally, you will participate in the launch of the new publication, including website testing and content preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily News Production:
  Write daily news stories with a focus on exclusives and breaking news.
• Analysis and Opinion:
  Produce analysis and opinion pieces as needed.
• Data Utilization:
  Source and utilize high-quality, deal-focused data points in collaboration with the Research & Analytics department.
• Multimedia Content:
  Create multimedia items, such as podcasts, video interviews, and interactive presentations.
• Content Ideation:
  Pitch leads and content ideas to enhance coverage.
• Website Curation:
  Help curate content for the website and assist in creating daily, weekly, and breaking news alerts.
• Market Engagement:
  Regularly interface with the market, focusing on face-to-face meetings to cultivate new and existing sources.
• Collaboration:
  
  Communicate regularly with the editor, meet deadlines, and ensure attention to detail and accuracy.
• Event Participation:
  Collaborate with the Events team and moderate discussions at company-hosted events when appropriate.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  
  A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with experience in journalism or a related field. Experience with breaking off-diary stories and writing analysis is preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Developing a network of contacts among senior professionals and being comfortable with data analysis and turning complex results into accessible content.
• Attributes:
  Self-motivated, a team player, and comfortable in an environment with regular feedback. Resilient under pressure with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
