Mercor is recruiting News Analysts, Reporters, and Journalists as independent contractors working on a research project for one of the world’s top AI companies. This project involves using your professional experience to design questions related to your occupation as a News Analyst, Reporter, or Journalist.

• Have 4+ years full‑time work experience as a News Analyst, Reporter, or Journalist.
• Be based in the US, UK, or Canada.

Here are more details about the role:

• Hourly compensation will be competitive based on your professional background and geographic location (U.S. scale will differ for other locations).
• The work is fully asynchronous and can be done around your schedule.
• You must be able to commit a minimum of 15 hours per week (availability may vary week to week).
• We estimate that this project will last through the end of 2025 and possibly longer. If this listing is still posted, the project is ongoing.
• Access to a desktop or laptop computer is required;
  Chromebooks are not accepted.

With respect to pay and legal status:

• We can meet industry‑standard compensation expectations for your current role.
• Payments will be made weekly via Stripe Connect based on logged project hours.
• You will be classified as an “at‑will” contractor to Mercor.
• We cannot currently support H1‑B or STEM OPT status candidates.
