Position: Visual Designer (12 Month FTC/Secondment)
Location: City Of London

Job Summary

Visual Designer – 12 Month FTC (fixed term contract). End Date:
Monday 06 July 2026. Salary: £72,702 – £80,780.

Hours:

Full time. Working pattern:
Hybrid – at least two days per week in office.

Responsibilities
  • Bring digital experiences to life by creating engaging visual and interactive content for customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary design team, learning from and supporting fellow Visual Designers.
  • Use agile working practices to uncover priorities, visualise outcomes and define scope.
  • Identify and solve customer problems, placing human needs at the centre of solutions.
  • Produce production assets, infographics, logos and other visual elements.
  • Design interfaces for web and mobile applications, applying storytelling techniques to communicate effectively.
  • Prototype designs using Figma (required) and Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Excel and Acrobat.
  • Engage with design teams and communities of practice to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes.
  • Design and layout pages and user interfaces using components from the central design system, balancing content and UI elements.
  • Advise developers on design specifications to ensure deliverables meet accessibility and usability standards for all users.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in visual design.
  • Strong visual storytelling ability and experience producing brand‑led digital journeys.
  • Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, plus Microsoft Office.
  • Collaborative attitude, capable of supporting and learning from a full‑stack design team.
  • Understanding and advocacy of accessibility standards within a digital design system.
  • Ability to see designs through to delivery and communicate effectively with developers.
  • Energy and enthusiasm for applying visual design to diverse business needs.
