Job Overview

The Creative Studio Traffic Manager is the day-to-day engine that keeps creative work moving through the studio with clarity, pace and discipline.

Working closely with the Creative Studio Manager, this role focuses on the live flow of work: taking briefs into the studio, shaping schedules, assigning tasks, tracking progress, resolving bottlenecks and making sure deadlines, expectations and handovers are clear.

Where the Creative Studio Manager owns the broader operating model, capacity planning and studio performance, the Creative Studio Traffic Manager brings that model to life every day by coordinating the movement of projects, people and information across creative, client services, production and delivery teams.

You’ll be highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure, able to see the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture. You’ll enjoy being the person who knows what is happening, what is coming next and what needs to be unblocked to keep great creative work on track.

Key Responsibilities Workflow & Job Traffic
  • Manage the daily flow of creative jobs through the studio from brief intake to final delivery.

  • Triage new briefs, clarify requirements and ensure the right information is in place before work enters the studio.

  • Build and maintain live schedules, task lists and status updates across active creative projects.

  • Coordinate daily and weekly traffic meetings, ensuring actions, priorities and blockers are clearly captured and followed up.

  • Monitor progress against deadlines and proactively flag risks to delivery, quality or resource availability.

Resource Coordination
  • Support the Creative Studio Manager in allocating creative resource based on skills, availability, deadlines and project priorities.

  • Maintain an accurate view of who is working on what, what is due next and where capacity pressures are emerging.

  • Coordinate handovers between designers, writers, strategists, art workers, motion creatives, production teams and external partners.

  • Help manage freelance bookings, onboarding and day-to-day task allocation where required.

  • Escalate resourcing gaps, over-allocation or conflicting deadlines before they become delivery issues.

Briefing, Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a central point of contact between Creative, Client Services, Production and other internal teams on live studio work.

  • Support strong briefing discipline by challenging incomplete, unclear or unrealistic briefs in a constructive way.

  • Keep stakeholders updated on job status, timelines, dependencies and changes to delivery expectations.

  • Ensure feedback is consolidated, actionable and communicated clearly back into the studio.

  • Build trusted relationships that help teams collaborate effectively and make decisions quickly.

Process, Systems & Reporting
  • Administer and maintain the studio’s traffic, scheduling or project management tools, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

  • Create clear visibility of work in progress, upcoming demand, deadlines and delivery risks.

  • Support reporting on workflow, utilisation, turnaround times and recurring bottlenecks.

  • Help improve studio processes, templates, briefing routes and handover practices.

  • Maintain organised project records, status documents and delivery information so the studio has a reliable source of truth.

Studio Culture & Delivery Discipline
  • Create a calm, organised and positive working rhythm for the studio.
