Location: City of Westminster

As the Video Producer and Technical Lead, you will lead the creation and delivery of engaging digital education content for a new UK-wide outreach programme, helping bring Parliament and democracy to life for young people. Working with education specialists, you will produce live and pre-recorded learning experiences, shaping the programme's digital offer and driving ongoing innovation. Based in Westminster's new Education Outreach Digital Suite, you will oversee all aspects of video production, including scripting, filming, editing and live broadcast delivery.

Acting as the programme's technical lead, you will manage multi-camera productions, audio, lighting, green screen environments and 4K workflows, ensuring high-quality content and seamless audience experiences. You will also manage the programme's technical infrastructure, including AV equipment, software and digital platforms, while collaborating with colleagues across Parliament and supporting the development of team capability through technical guidance and skills-sharing. This is an exciting opportunity to combine creativity, technical expertise and leadership to deliver a national programme that engages hundreds of thousands of young people with Parliament and democracy each year.

  • Extensive experience in video production in a professional organisation, A higher education level qualification in video production with some experience in video production in a professional organisation.
  • Digital Programming
    - Experience in end-to-end video production (including scripting, storyboarding, producing, directing, camera work, editing and audio) and experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud including Premier Pro and After Effects.
  • Communication
    - Highly developed communication skills when working across teams and with Stakeholders, ensuring stakeholders and colleagues are kept informed throughout a project and are able to provide feedback at key stages.
  • Contract Management
    - Knowledge of managing contracts for hardware and software required to run a digital events programme.
  • Inclusion and Diversity
    - Skills in making video programming inclusive to all audiences whilst ensuring impartiality requirements.
