The Probate Sales Consultant position based in the City of London offers a permanent role, paying up to £17.94 per hour plus commission. You will work Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, with a minimum of three days in the office, as the first point of contact for individuals requiring probate and estate administration guidance. This customer‑focused sales role demands resilience and the ability to handle sensitive and emotional conversations.
It requires strong communication, empathy, and a target‑driven sales mindset.
Pay: £17.94 per hour plus commission
Hours:
9am – 5:30pm (Monday–Friday)
Working model:
Minimum 3 days in the office (ideally
5)
Nearest stations:
London Bridge, Southwark, Waterloo
- Act as the first point of contact for customers following a bereavement via phone, email and online communication channels.
- Understand each customer’s circumstances and recommend appropriate probate and estate administration services.
- Conduct consultations, explain service options clearly and provide quotations to help customers make informed decisions.
- Manage the customer journey from initial enquiry through to service instruction, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
- Achieve individual and team performance targets relating to customer engagement, conversion and satisfaction while maintaining high service standards.
- Maintain accurate, confidential customer records and update CRM systems accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer resources and overall service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across different teams to improve efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service or another target‑driven, customer‑facing role.
- Compassionate and empathetic, with the confidence to support customers during sensitive conversations.
- Commercially aware and motivated to achieve performance targets while always acting in the customer’s best interests.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused and committed to continuous improvement.
- Confident using CRM systems and other business technology.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
- Full training and ongoing development in probate and estate administration.
