Overall Purpose

As a Front of House Host and Community Co-Ordinator you will be striving to achieve outstanding customer experience for visitors, tenants and guests. You will be representing St James and St James’ clients to go the extra mile to keep a high-level of satisfaction with every person you help.

As a Front-of-House Host/ Community Co-Ordinator, we empower you to take full responsibility for the reception and work collaboratively as a team to keep the standards at a high level. You will bring a creative mind to enhance the community ethos, working closely with the Estates Operations Manager to be their second-in-command during their absence and day-to-day functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The below listed task/responsibilities are not exhaustive:

  • To take full ownership and accountability of the reception and all associated areas, making sure that they are always kept in the best possible order, liaising with security, cleaners, facilities, and other departments as deemed necessary.
  • To challenge existing ways of working to improve and develop our services, always aiming for the highest possible customer experience and engagement.
  • To build strong relationships with tenants, clients, guests and visitors by acting as the first point of contact, providing a welcoming and professional service, managing visitor sign-ins and directing guests to the relevant floors, responding confidently to questions, queries and feedback, handling calls and messages efficiently, and always remaining calm and professional whilst being flexible and responsive to any unforeseen circumstances.
  • To Coordinate, Plan and Execute a comprehensive calendar of events, ensuring clear and effective communication with the wider team and the St James Events team at Head Office.
  • Manage and record all post and deliveries in accordance with the team agreement and operations manual.
  • To carry out any general administrative and facilities management tasks. Always being a responsible, friendly, organised individual.

  • Ability to work independently and as well as in a team to ensure smooth daily operation.
  • To be a driven and proactive individual, to handle tasks effectively and professionally.
  • Previous experience delivering a high-level of customer service is desirable, customer service will be the successful post-holder’s focus.
  • The post-holder will have good written and communication skills.
