Job DescriptionWe are looking for a systems-minded Product Designer to join Publicis Productions. In this role, you will design high-quality UI and contribute to the growth of scalable design systems. You’ll take work from early concepts through to polished, production-ready execution, ensuring solutions are intuitive, consistent, and built to scale.
You’ll work closely with Product Owners, UX Strategists, and Engineering partners to translate product intent into clear, usable, and technically feasible design solutions. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role that requires strong UX judgement, excellent visual craft, and deep proficiency in Figma
ResponsibilitiesProduct Design & Systems Thinking
- Design end‑to‑end product experiences that prioritize usability, structural clarity, and long‑term scalability.
- Think in systems by defining patterns and interaction models that can be reused and extended across various product work streams.
- Clearly articulate design rationale and technical trade‑offs to product and engineering partners.
- Actively contribute to the creation, evolution, and governance of our global design system.
- Build and maintain shared UI components and libraries exclusively within Figma to ensure a "Single Source of Truth".
- Define component behaviour and interaction rules, including hover, focus, and disabled states, to ensure brand and functional consistency.
- Identify UI inconsistencies or design debt and propose scalable, system‑level solutions.
- Partner closely with Product Owners and Engineers throughout the design lifecycle to ensure technical feasibility and alignment.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and design critiques to ensure work stays on track and meets quality standards.
- Support development teams through clear handoff, detailed specifications, and ongoing design QA to ensure the live product matches the design.
- Track work, manage feedback loops, and document issues effectively using JIRA.
- Maintain high standards for file management including clean, well‑structured Figma files with consistent naming and organization.
- Use Figma’s collaboration features, such as branching and version history, to support team‑wide workflows and library stability.
- Assist with documenting components, patterns, and features in Confluence to provide a clear roadmap for stakeholders and engineers.
Core Skills & Experience
- Product Architecture:
Proven ability to create User Flows and Wireframes as a prerequisite to high‑fidelity UI design. - Figma Logic & Mastery:
Expert use of Auto Layout, Variables (colours, numbers, strings, booleans), and Component Properties to build flexible, "code‑like" designs. - System Governance:
Experience managing large‑scale libraries, including Design Tokens, nested instances, and accessibility considerations (WCAG). - Material Design Expertise:
Strong knowledge of Google Material Design principles and the ability to customize components for specific brand needs.
- Relevant experience in product design or a closely related role.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong system thinking, product design depth (flows/logic), and exceptional visual craft.
- A collaborative mindset with a pragmatic, delivery‑focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex design decisions to non‑designers.
