Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Open to Ireland, UK or European locations, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing BIM team as a Project BIM Manager, supporting the delivery of our group projects. This is a dynamic, hands‑on role where you will oversee BIM activities across UK Sites.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will work closely with the commercial and construction teams to deliver accurate, competitive, and commercially sound project designs. As a key team member, you will act as an ambassador for the company, demonstrating strategic thinking, professionalism, and a disciplined approach in all aspects of the role.

Your day will include:
  • Lead Project BIM Coordinators and manage Revit Technician workloads.
  • Coordinate with Dornan Engineers, design teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Support project planning and BIM delivery strategies alongside the BIM Manager.
  • Chair coordination meetings, track actions, and report on project progress.
  • Implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and BIM Implementation Plans (BIPs).
  • Drive coordination efforts across multidisciplinary teams to resolve clashes and meet project deliverables.
  • Chase and challenge internal and external teams to ensure information is received on time.
  • Support the development of company BIM standards and best practices.
About You
  • Strong understanding of the Project BIM Manager role and RIBA Stages 5 & 6 for MEP projects.
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading meetings and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong technical ability in Revit, Navisworks, Excel, and Fabrication MEP.
  • Ability to work independently and manage team performance effectively.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of HSE systems.
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions‑focused with a strong leadership mindset.
