The Role:
Architect / Design Manager Sector – Construction - Super-Prime Residential
Location:
London with project travel Salary: £60,000 to £70,000pa DOE
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Design Manager to join a leading developer delivering some of London’s most prestigious super-prime residential schemes.
Working within an integrated, design-led environment, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-end residential projects, ensuring design intent is protected from concept through to completion. This position offers genuine ownership, exposure to best-in-class developments, and the chance to contribute to creating some of the most desirable homes in the market.
The Role- Support the development and definition of project briefs, ensuring alignment with quality, programme and budget
- Act as a custodian of design intent throughout all project stages
- Manage and coordinate external architects, consultants and design teams
- Review and enhance design proposals, adding value through strong spatial planning and detailing
- Collaborate with internal teams including operations, sales, marketing and commercial
- Oversee design delivery on-site, ensuring execution meets the required standard
- Produce and support feasibility studies and early-stage design strategies
- Contribute to design problem-solving and continuous improvement across projects
- Qualified Architect (Part
3) with post-qualification experience - Proven track record delivering high-end residential projects
- Experience across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion
- Strong technical knowledge including detailing, specifications and current regulations
- Experience producing design packages including NBS/specification documentation
- Confident managing consultants and external teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge, influence and problem solve
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and commercially aware
- Proficient in Revit and Adobe Suite (preferred)
- Around 8+ years’ industry experience within high-end residential or mixed-use development
- Strong understanding of project programmes, deliverables and construction processes
- Knowledge of contracts, appointments and consultant management
- Excellent design, spatial planning and coordination capability
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across teams
