Senior Architect | Hospitality & Hotel Projects

A well-established AJ100 architectural practice is looking for a Senior Architect to join its hospitality team. With a strong portfolio of hotel, hospitality and large-scale mixed-use projects, the practice is seeking an experienced Architect who enjoys the technical side of project delivery and is confident leading projects through the later stages of design and construction.

This role would suit someone with strong Stage 4 onwards experience who enjoys developing detailed technical packages, coordinating consultants and seeing projects successfully delivered on site. Previous hotel experience would be highly beneficial, but architects from other complex sectors will also be considered, provided they can demonstrate strong technical delivery experience and a proven track record working through RIBA Stages 4-6.

The Role

Working within an established hospitality team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-profile hotel and leisure projects for leading operators and developers. You'll be involved in projects throughout the technical design, construction and delivery stages, coordinating consultant teams, managing technical packages and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect who enjoys solving technical challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and taking ownership of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of hospitality and hotel projects from Stage 4 onwards.
  • Develop and oversee detailed technical packages and construction information.
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers throughout project delivery.
  • Manage project teams and support junior architects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, quality and client requirements.
  • Attend client, consultant and contractor meetings throughout the construction process.
  • Contribute to design reviews, technical workshops and project delivery strategies.
  • Support projects through construction and handover stages.

Requirements

  • ARB-registered Architect.
  • Strong post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice.
  • Extensive experience working across RIBA Stages 4-6.
  • Hotel or hospitality project experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Strong Revit proficiency.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, organised and capable of managing multiple project demands.

Benefits

  • Company pension scheme contributions.
  • Professional subscriptions paid, including ARB, RIBA and other relevant memberships.
  • Extended Christmas shutdown in addition to annual holiday allowance.
  • Season ticket loan scheme.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme, including access to bike storage, showers and lockers.
  • Comprehensive CPD programme and ongoing professional development support.
  • Structured mentoring opportunities across all career levels.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits.
  • Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential support and counselling.
  • Corporate gym membership discounts.
  • Free yoga, meditation and life drawing classes.
  • Active sports teams and regular social events throughout the year.
  • Modern studio environment with excellent facilities and a collaborative culture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong Senior Architect looking to work on high-profile hospitality projects within a respected design-led practice. You'll join a supportive team, work on exciting hotel developments and be given the opportunity to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop your career within a studio known for its technical excellence and long-term progression opportunities.
