Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality consultant-led general obstetric care, including labour ward and antenatal services
- Participate in consultant on-call rotas, including out-of-hours and weekend working
- Provide specialist Fetal Medicine clinics, ultrasound, and invasive procedures as appropriate
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and complex case management
- Support service development, quality improvement, and pathway redesign
- Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of trainees and allied staff
- Participate in clinical governance, audit, and research
- Work collaboratively across UCLH and NMUH sites
Job plans will be agreed in line with service needs and individual expertise and will support continuing professional development.
Qualifications- Be eligible for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (or within 6 months of CCT at interview)
- Hold recognised subspecialty training/accreditation in Fetal and Maternal Medicine (or be near completion)
- Demonstrate strong experience in both general obstetrics and specialist fetal medicine
- Show excellent clinical, communication, and leadership skills
- Demonstrate commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary working
- Evidence engagement in teaching, research, audit, and service improvement
