Extremity Reconstruction Fellow in Plastic Surgery

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Fellowship SpR Equivalent in Extremity Reconstruction to join the Trust Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for a fixed term period from 07/10/26 to 06/04/27. Future posts may also be appointed so suitable applicants are encouraged to apply.

The Department manages approximately 150 open lower limb fractures and 30 complex upper limb injuries each year, either presenting acutely or as tertiary referrals and provides a hand trauma service for injuries presenting to the Trust. Additionally there is integration with the entire Major Trauma service and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with other teams involved in the management of the critically injured patient.

The post is suitable for an individual wishing to pursue a long term interest in upper or lower limb trauma and reconstruction. The work is relevant to anyone looking to work as a plastic surgery Consultant within a major trauma centre. Traditionally the post has been held by individuals towards the end of their training but might also be suitable for the right candidate earlier in their training with a sub specialist interest.

The successful applicant will be expected to have the experience for clinical activity as laid out in the job description. The post holder will ideally have passed the FRCS(Plast) or equivalent exam at the time of commencing in post.
