F3​/ST- Locally Doctor Programme

Programme Overview

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust offers a programme of F3 posts across a range of specialties. These posts are suitable for doctors who have completed Foundation Training or an equivalent programme, and they provide excellent opportunities for clinical experience and professional development. The programme is typically structured as two 6‑month rotations, although this may vary depending on specialty availability and the one‑year fixed‑term contract.

Postholders will be encouraged to attend departmental teaching sessions and will have access to study leave, including £400 in funding and 10 days per annum, as well as access to the Horus portfolio. They will also be supported to undertake small projects and to present at conferences where appropriate.

Typical duties include ward work, participation in ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings, as well as time in theatre (where relevant) and outpatient clinics. There will also be opportunities for a one‑to‑one training review, supported by a local annual review process.
